NDIS therapeutic supports encompass a range of services designed to address the diverse needs of individuals with disabilities.
These supports aim to enhance various aspects of an individual’s well-being, including physical, emotional, mental, and social dimensions.
Here’s a brief overview of each type of therapeutic support that Pantheon Care can assist with:
Art therapy involves using artistic mediums to facilitate self-expression, emotional exploration, and healing. It is particularly beneficial for individuals who may find it challenging to express themselves verbally.
Art therapy can help improve emotional regulation, self-esteem, communication skills, and provide a non-verbal outlet for thoughts and feelings.
Counselling involves one-on-one or group sessions with trained professionals to address emotional, psychological, and behavioural challenges.
It provides a safe space for individuals to discuss their concerns, develop coping strategies, and work towards improving their mental well-being.
Psychosocial therapy focuses on the interaction between psychological factors and social environments. It aims to improve an individual’s social and emotional functioning, helping them navigate relationships, build social skills, and enhance community engagement.
This is particularly relevant for individuals with severe and persistent mental health conditions.
Physiotherapy involves exercises, stretches, and techniques designed to enhance physical mobility, strength, and function.
It is crucial for individuals with physical disabilities, as it helps improve muscle tone, prevent complications, and promote greater independence in daily activities.

Debra is a qualified Art Therapist and Counsellor, registered with both Australia, New Zealand, and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association (ANZACATA) and Australian Counselling Association (ACA) besides a background in nursing children and adults for over 25 years in Australia and the UK.
Artmaking from a young child and then discovering Art Therapy as a recognised worldwide modality, Debra has continued her journey to support children and adults on their journey to improved health. Combining Counselling and Art Therapy provides Debra with a range of tools to provide tailored support for her clients.
Art Therapy does not require any art experience and is useful when no words can describe sometimes difficult thoughts, feelings or emotions. Art Therapy is about the process, the journey, not the result. However, sometimes the result can be pleasing for the client, and they may wish to share the artwork through displaying it or giving it as a gift.
Counselling can be a series of sessions or just when needed to help work through challenging times. Debra provides ‘walk n talk’ counselling too, so no need to be stuck in an office.
Debra provides home visits so no need to travel as she will visit you in the comfort of your own home, bringing all the materials needed.
Being an artist herself, Debra can also provide art classes to individuals at home and small groups at the office base at Birtinya, Sunshine Coast.
